The 16th Annual "Marbury Technology Innovation Award," sponsored by the Alabama Department of Education and Educational Technology section, will be presented this summer, June 12 at AETC by the State Superintendent of Education.
The focus of the Chiquita Marbury Technology Innovation Award is to spotlight K-12 educators, administrators, and support personnel. The award, sponsored by the Alabama Department of Education, honors Chiquita Marbury's invaluable years of service as a technology innovator in Alabama by recognizing educators who are exemplary models of technology teachers and leaders.
Each year one state award is presented in each of the following categories:
Nominees will be judged based upon the following five criteria: Innovation and Creativity, Impact on Teaching and Learning, Leadership, Teamwork, and Scholarship. If you know of one or more educators who meet these criteria, please take a moment to nominate them.
Nominators who submit winning entries will be notified by the end of May 2019. Each award winner may be accompanied by their nominator, superintendent/board member, family, and local press (if desired).
