About AETC

The Alabama Educational Technology Conference (AETC) is our premier educational technology conference designed to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to leverage technology effectively in the classroom. Held annually, this conference offers a comprehensive program featuring concurrent sessions, hands-on workshops, inspiring keynote presentations, and valuable networking opportunities.

At our conference, attendees will have the opportunity to customize their learning experience by selecting from a diverse array of concurrent sessions and hands-on workshops. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned tech enthusiast, there's something for everyone, with topics ranging from assistive technology to innovative approaches in instructional technology.

Our opening and closing sessions feature renowned speakers and thought leaders in the field of educational technology, who will inspire and motivate attendees with their insights and expertise. These sessions set the tone for an engaging and transformative learning experience.

One of the highlights of our conference is our ATIM Playground, where attendees can immerse themselves in hands-on activities and learn how to incorporate a variety of robotics and other STEM technologies into their teaching practice. From coding and robotics to virtual reality and augmented reality, educators will discover exciting new tools and resources to engage and inspire their students.

For math, science, and computer science teachers, we offer specialized TEAMs professional development sessions designed to deepen their content knowledge and enhance their instructional practices. These sessions provide practical strategies and resources to help educators effectively integrate technology into their subject areas.

In addition to the rich learning opportunities, our conference also provides ample time for attendees to meet with vendors and explore the latest educational technologies and resources. From interactive whiteboards and learning management systems to educational apps and digital content, educators can discover innovative tools and solutions to enhance student learning and engagement.

Moreover, this annual event features over 60 sessions dedicated to Alabama’s Student Information System (SIS). It’s an ideal opportunity for veterans to up their game with increased skills and knowledge needed for greater efficiency and effectiveness, and for newcomers to deepen their understanding of platforms like PowerSchool and Schoology.

AETC serves as a hub where SIS managers, data managers, registrars, counselors, administrators, and others can dive into comprehensive learning pathways tailored to PowerSchool and Schoology.
